Get the current theme + Switch theme dynamically?

Hi,

I need to create components whose layout can be totally changed (i.e.
not just css) depending on some application parameter, which also can
be changed on-the-fly. It would be real nice if this parameter could
just be the current active gwt theme, but I can't seem to find how to
neither get it, nor change it.

1) What's the recommend way to get the current active theme name?
2) What's the recommended way to switch the current active theme?

PS. I know that the Showcase does number two, but the code looks
messy... :-) Isn't there a better way...? DS.
